Overview

As a Sourcing Manager working for GSI, you will be a key player in supporting the organization and project teams in a fast-paced and dynamic geotechnical environmentYou will have the opportunity to create efficiencies and cost savings by strategically managing spend categories and identifying opportunities which will allow us to respond to our client needs quickly, accurately, and cost effectivelyKey focus areas for this role will include operational support, vendor management, vendor negotiations, cost savings, and process creation/optimization.

Responsibilities

What work will I be performing?

Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited, to the following:   

  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies, manage vendors, and negotiate pricing/delivery to ensure uninterrupted flow of logistics, equipment, services, and materials, through effective vendor management. 
  • Strategically manage assigned spend categories by ensuring a data driven approach to category management, with specific metrics around cost savings, on-time delivery, days payable, and standard work compliance.      
  • Serve as category spend manager; Identify and implement cost savings projects with goal of achieving 5% YOY cost reduction through formal strategic sourcing process.  
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and execute sourcing events that will efficiently, and cost effectively support business requirements.  
  • Connect proposal development and operational execution phases by working with internal and external stakeholders to develop estimating pricing matrices, increase estimating accuracy, obtain quotations, reduce cost, and improve operational execution through leveraged supplier relationships.    
  • Play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving the organizational purchasing standard work; work with all business units to ensure company-wide strategy implementation. 
  • Additional duties as identified. 

 

Qualifications

Our offices are in Westminster, CO. This role is a hybrid in-office role. Tue-Thur are in-office with the ability to work remotely on Monday and Fridays.

 

What Do I Need to Bring? 

  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills, including the ability to analyze spend, identify suppliers, run RFQs, negotiate price/terms, execute contracts, and track savings, supplier performance, and compliance. 
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable results in a fast paced and constantly changing environment with limited resources and infrastructure.  
  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders and build relationships across multi-functional teams.     
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, supporting identification of cost savings opportunities and recommendations. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting challenging deadlines and milestones. 
  • Self-starting, resourceful, problem-solver with a can-do attitude, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic and integrity. 
  • Familiarity with lean approaches to problem solving, root cause analysis, process development, and standard work. 
  • Comfortable with building process from the ground up and dynamically adjusting for improvements based on problem solving.   

Job Qualifications 

Minimum qualifications 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sourcing role with proven track record of RFQ completion and cost savings. 
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics. 
  • Prior experience in construction industry is beneficial. 
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or a directly related field

Salary range: $90,500 - $116,000 per
