Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

 

  • Assist in budgeting, scheduling and quality
  • Make sure goals are achieved in a timely manner and within
  • Assist in administration of contracts, buyout of materials, documentation, meetings, billings, changing conditions, labor productivity, cost control and project close
  • Responsible for completing construction of projects within budget, on schedule and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships both internally and externally. 

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all company safety policies
  • Visiting project sites on a regular basis (may involve inclement weather)
  • Assist in getting contract agreements expeditiously secured, reviewed, processed and executed.
  • Review contract terms to effectively ensure all contract conditions are met
  • Assist with development and distribution of project
  • Assist with all required budget updates and revisions
  • Assist/attend pre-construction turnover meetings for all assigned
  • Read, evaluate and fully comprehend all project specifications and change conditions
  • Communicate project goals to the project team for each project to exceed budgeted
  • Ensure all required permits and/or licenses are obtained and posted. Manage and track utility locates
  • Assist in monitoring and updating projects
  • Assist with coordination of all required procurement and release of materials 
  • Assist with subcontract agreement negotiations, processing and dispute resolution
  • Assist with submittal review, processing and approvals and maintenance of submittal logs
  • Assist in setting up billing schedule values, preparation of billings and collection of payments
  • Assist in estimating, preparing changing conditions, changing order work proposals and maintain all change orders
  • Ensure all assigned projects are properly staffed with appropriate field forces. This includes: 1) review and updating of original job plan 2) review of labor productivity 3) coordination with the operations leaders
  • Oversee tools and rental equipment on all assigned
  • Assist with continual cost control, financial management, and forecasting
  • Assist with weekly production reports and distribute to project team to communicate budget actual progress
  • Assist in management of all subcontractors and suppliers
  • Review, approve and process all subcontractor and supplier
  • Conduct/attend regularly scheduled project staff meetings
  • Keep the Divisional Operations Manager(s) informed of any major developments
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with all customers, internal and Market RoadGuard/GeoStabilization International to our clients and be on the look-out for any new or upcoming projects
  • Assist Superintendents to ensure company quality standards are achieved 
  • Ensure all projects are closed out in an organized and timely
  • Attend Post-Construction Closeout Meetings for all assigned
  • Conduct some pre-bid estimations in collaboration with the Estimation team.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

 

  • Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in project management or similar area of study
  • 2 plus years project management experience 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers/clients
  • Good knowledge of any project management software/technical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of VISTA Viewpoint is desired
  • High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches
  •  Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors
  • Deductive reasoning from one or more statements (premises) to reach a logically certain conclusion
  • Construction management background and experience in project management and estimation required
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral, virtual and in-person)

Salary Range is $66,000 - $84,000
