Overview

The Fleet Compliance Analyst supports driver and vehicle compliance initiatives to ensure company adherence to DOT regulations and maintain operational integrity. This role collaborates with internal teams, including People & Talent and Fleet Services, to streamline compliance processes, maintain records, and provide guidance to GSI affiliates, especially in acquisition integration.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee roadside inspections and determine necessary actions.
  • Conduct audits on FMCSA compliance and initiate corrective actions.
  • Manage annual vehicle inspections and address findings.
  • Oversee driver vehicle inspection reporting, with follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Provide drivers with safety training and coaching on defensive driving, accident prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assign unassigned mileage based on usage records.
  • Coordinate all driver setup, including training requirements and system access.
  • Maintain driver qualification records (e.g., medical cards, insurance, and certifications).
  • Support IRP and fleet registration processes as needed.
  • Monitor mechanic certifications to ensure they meet compliance standards.
  • Assist in managing drug and alcohol consortium participation.

 Other Duties

  • Prepare materials for company training and compliance communications.
  • Oversee FMCSA, tax, and state compliance requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • DOT Knowledge: Moderate familiarity with DOT compliance regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Training Abilities: Capable of developing and presenting virtual training sessions.
  • Problem Solving: Skilled in assessing situations and implementing effective solutions.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of experience in DOT compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in DOT compliance.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, and sit.
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds on uneven terrain.
  • Work may include maneuvering on hillsides, using hands for tool control, and operating office equipment.
  • Requires talking and hearing abilities.
  • Office environment with some exposure to outdoor elements during inspections.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 10%

Pay Range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually with bonus opportunity
