What You Will Do
The Supply Chain & Logistics Intern will gain practical experience in supply chain operations and logistics within a real-world business environment. This internship offers an opportunity to assist with various aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities my include:
Procurement Support: Assist in procurement activities, including researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, and preparing purchase orders. Ensure procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and analyzing inventory data to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
Logistics Coordination: Support the coordination of logistics and transportation activities, including tracking shipments, ensuring on-time deliveries, and resolving transportation-related issues.
Demand Forecasting: Assist in analyzing historical data and market trends to contribute to demand forecasting and planning.
Supplier Relationship Management: Help maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement projects to enhance supply chain efficiency. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipping records.
Supply Chain Analytics: Analyze supply chain data to provide insights and recommendations for improving supply chain performance.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to supply chain and procurement.
Qualifications:
Salary Range: $20.00 to $28.00 HR
